The Happy Days Boarding Kennels

...reigning for dogs - with consistently 'Happy Days'

For more than 20 years, the long established Happy Days Boarding Kennels, just outside Llanelidan in Denbighshire, North East Wales, has been acknowledged by dogs (and owners), as the place where they just love to return - time and again!

Experience and returning customers tells us that Happy Days Kennels could not be more aptly named, providing, as we do, a home from home atmosphere for the pet, plus attention to health and hygiene that their human owners expect. So, join increasing numbers of returning customers who confidently acknowledge that….Happy Days - are here again.

Our perfect companions never have fewer than four feet.

Dog Training
& Behavioural Treatment

Our Training

Available for dogs staying at Happy Days Boarding Kennels - and for those, locally based.

At Happy Days Boarding Kennels, our decades of experience are welcomed by many dog owners as an opportunity to ensure that their pet not only enjoys the break, but, at the same time, undergoes essential and enjoyable behavioural treatment and training.

Owners are often surprised at how quickly many problems can be ironed out!

Nita, our lovely 3 legged girl

Nita was rescued from Romania a couple of years ago. She was very sad when she came as she had been very badly treated. I worked very hard with her when she first came over to gain her confidence and be my friend, now she is a delight. She works all my one to one training classes. She has a wonderful way of putting nervous and nervous aggressive dogs at their ease. She shows them how to interact with other dogs. She is just one of our team of 10 working dogs that do this work.

Floss, our newest member

Floss was taken into our vets to be pts aged 16 weeks due to her food aggression. They phoned me, I fell in love, dog saved.

I have worked very hard with Floss to make her the dog she is today. She will be helping other dogs with problems to lead happy lives and overcome their problem behaviours

Birdie and Pixie Pie

These are the dogs we use if working with small dogs that are frightened of dogs, get them used to the little ones first and slowly introduce the bigger dogs later.

Birdie is a bit of a prima donna. She loves working with other dogs to help them.

We Are Members of The Association Of Pet Dog Trainers

Membership number: 501

Created in 1995, their strict code of conduct guarantees the non-use of coercive or punitive techniques in the training of dogs, as well as confidence on the part of the owner as to the quality of treatment dispensed to their pet. There is also a ‘no choke chain’ policy so, when you see the APDT sign, you know that your dog’s training could not be in better hands.
